We hiked up to Gold and Silver Falls with our friends Donny and Lea and their girls. It took us awhile to find where we were going, but once we got there the hike and nature were great! Donny and Lea were dissapointed in the falls. I guess they are usually MUCH stronger, but it had been a pretty dry Spring and Summer so there wasn't a lot of water running. It was still fun to do and it was one more thing we loved about Oregon!

While we were still in OR(I think this is 2009?! HA!), we were invited to a friends birthday party. The kids had a blast with the cowboy theme. They made "vests" out of paper sacks, had a can/water gun shooting contest, and even had a water gun fight. It was a fun day!

I probably should blog right away and that won't happen huh?! :O) We had a pretty good day at the fair. It was super hot but there was a breeze and we visited all the buildings with AC alot! :O) We weren't as impressed with the fair this year as we have been in years passed, but it was something for us to do together after a "boring" summer of moving and unpacking(that's what the kids say). Enjoy the videos...has anyone ELSE ever tried to feed an Emu? It's scary!!! lol

The weather here lately has really reminded me of Oregon and kinda makes me a little sad. Although I am SUPER happy to be here close to my family and friends, I really do miss my OR friends too. They were/are such awesome friends! There were many times I needed someone to help me out with the kiddos, or to listen to me vent, or to just go out for a girls night. Our friend were always willing to help us out! We love you all and miss you like crazy!!! Don't have too much fun without me ladies! :O)

He was not happy about having to take a picture. Thought he was too old, but I was a meany and made him anyway. :O)

I know it's been almost a month since school started but I wanted to share how cute they all looked on their first day. School is going super well so far for all three of them. Erika LOVES her new teacher even though she isn't Mrs. Douglas. haha I don't think anyone will ever take her place! She's doing well in school and has made a couple of new friends. She's not loving school lunch everyday, but my rule is you have to try it all for at least a month and THEN you can start taking you lunch on the days you don't like school lunch. I haven't heard too many complaints though. :O) Mad is really enjoying her 5th grade year. She's reconnected with a couple of friends that she knew before we left and already has had an invitation to spend the night. Mad LOVES her reading teacher and really enjoys science. She's looking forward to Show Choir and Honor Choir tryouts coming soon. Cross your fingers!!! Jacob has had NO problem reconnecting with the guys he knew before. Soccer has been AWESOME so far. Jacob made Varsity and is starting on defense. Super excited for him! The boys on the soccer team are really going out of their way to make Jacob feel like part of the team and one of them. Jacob has also reconnected with his best bud RJ. It's so fun to listen to the two of them harass each other. They've been best friends since Kindergarten so it makes me smile each time they are together.

All in all the beginning of the year has been really pretty good in the Lamb house. Mom's even been ok getting up at 6 a.m. LOL

I was able to go with Madison and the rest of the 4th grade on the Sun River field trip. We had a wonderful time despite the rain and cold on Thurs. Fri. ended up being a beautiful day of sunshine and we were all so happy by that.

Erika's First Lost Tooth

Wow what a shock it was when Erika came running in to tell us her tooth came out. Honestly I didn't think it was THAT wiggly. Madison and Erika had been playing in their room. They were flipping on Mad's mattress(all of our beds are down to just the mattress') when Madison asked Erika if she could see how wiggly her tooth was. Erika let her and the story goes that Mad's fingernail got caught under Erika's tooth. When Mad tried to get her fingernail out, Erika's tooth came with it. Silly thing....Erika had no idea her tooth even came out, Madison had to tell her. Oh what joy she had when she finally figured it out. She came running in with her tiny tooth in her hand and blood pooling in her mouth. She did great until I had her spit in the potty and she saw the blood, then she started to think it might hurt. She was super excited to put the tooth under her pillow and even went to bed early just to see if the tooth fairy was going to come. Momma's kinda sad about the whole thing as this is my LAST one to lose their first tooth. I don't love my kids to grow up! :O( BUT I'm super excited for Erika!!

Hunger Games

Madison knew that I just love the Hunger Games series and asked if she could start them. Boy was I super glad to find out that she too loves this series as well as Me, Chris, and Jacob did! This has totally been a buy series for our family. I started the trend(in our family) and told Chris that I just knew he'd enjoy it. It took him a day to read the first one and two days for the second. He liked them that much. I also told Jacob about it and thought he'd enjoy it as well. Well if you know Jacob, you know he HATES to read so I was super excited to have him come up to me and say...mom I NEED that second book now!! I don't think there is much that makes me happier than to walk into my kids rooms and see them reading for fun and not because they HAVE to. I highly suggest this series to anyone out there that has kiddo's that are reading at the Young Adult level.

Not surprising to us, her hand was the smallest in the class. She's so tiny! The teacher had the kids wrap these up and give them to their mommy's for mother's day. The kids did these in the very beginning of the year so when Erika gave it to me for Mother's day we put her hand up to it again to see if it had grown and it had. She was happy to know she's growing, but knew I'd be sad. :O)

They have some AWESOME parent volunteer's that come in and run the Art dept. since the district doesn't really have the money for it. We are also very blessed to have a retired gentlemen, that the kids call Bubba, come in and do all the clay art. The kids just love him and I think he feels the same way about the kids. This is the second year they've had an art show at the school and I think the kids love to be able to show off their work to their friends and family.

I went with Madison and the fourth graders to Historic Jacksonville. I knew we were going to be walking all around the town, but WOW...we did some major hiking. It was a fun day and I'm glad I got to spend it with Madison.

I had some banana's that were getting pretty brown so I made a batch of banana bread today. After I got it all made up and was putting it in the oven, Erika asked me, "Mommy how come you don't have powder and sweat all over you?" I said "huh?" "You know...when you cook something big like banana bread, you're supposed to be all messy with powder and sweat!" Oh she cracks me up!

I actually kinda like seeing these two pics because as I look back to this time last year, I couldn't even walk 2 blocks without being tired let alone walk/run 2 miles. So glad that's all over! :O)

Notice how I put the WALK part of my title in caps?! There was just NO way I was running the whole thing. I did a little walking then a little running, then more walking, and finished up at the finish line running. I'm super glad I got to have this chance to do it with Madison though. It was fun and it was just the two of us this time. Erika was a little sad that she didn't get to do it as we did sign up through their school, but her little legs would never make it!

One of my favorite times is in the morning when I get to crawl into bed with Erika and snuggle up while trying to wake her up for school. I love to lay there and smell her fresh clean hair and feel her warmth, but what I really love to do is ask her questions and see what kind of CRAZY answers I'll get. She's always still half way asleep and in dream mode when she answers so it usually cracks me up. Yesterday I asked her if she slept well and her answer...did you finish reading the book yet? What book Erika? No I mean did you finish reading the pencil yet? Me~Yep... Erika~Was it a good story?

This morning I got her two different times. The first one....Me~Did you sleep well Erika? Erika~Ya but where'd that cat go? Me~what cat baby? Erika~you know the white one(back to sleep). Then the second time...Me~are you going to wake up Monkey? Erika~Ya I was just enjoying that fishy you gave me. Me~was it on your plate? Erika~ya I ate it.

Something Special for the Family

I was on the computer chatting with my bff, Jamie, when Erika came in and said, "Mom I wanted to make something special for the family so here it is!". With a huge smile on her face. At first I couldn't say anything because this is a shelf out of Madison's shelving unit that we didn't need to use right now. BUT we may have used it at a different time. Oh if Mad finds out....she's not going to be happy!!! I didn't want to break her heart so I told her she did a good job, but that she needed to ask first. I think I broke her heart anyway.

So as I'm typing this, Erika asked me if I want her to sign her picture. Of course!! I need to know who did this masterpiece some day! :O)

On Mon. the kids didn't have school so Selika came over to hang out with Jacob. They decided to go outside since it was so nice. Pretty soon Jacob comes back in and puts just one roller blade on and starts to carry out a soccer ball. I asked, "What's up with the one skate and the soccer ball?". He laughs and says, "We're going to do some Curling." I went out and sure enough, the two Freshman are out there each with one skate on, a big target drawn on the road, and a broom and soccer ball, doing some Curling. I'm so glad that they still know how to use their imaginations and "play".

While the kids were on Christmas break, Chris needed to do an overnight store visit and invited us along. Well I invited us anyway. It was his first overnight since surgery and I wansn't comforable with him going alone yet. It was a good thing we went though because on the way back we went through a huge snowstorm and Jacob and I had to put the chains on the tires. I shudder to think about Chris having to do that on his own. I know there are a ton of pics but we had such a great time that I got a little camera happy. :O)

Christmas Day

It was always a tradition in my family to line up in the hall from youngest to oldest. We've kept that tradition for our family as well as starting a new one with the kids all sleeping in the same room. The kids wouldn't have it any other way! Chris and I woke up on Christmas morning and headed in the living room. I snapped a couple of pics of the tree and stockings etc. then all the sudden my cell phone starts ringing. It's 6 a.m. and I'm thinking who in the world is calling us on Christmas morning at 6 a.m. Get in my room to get the phone and see that it is my wonderful son. You see the girls room is on the same side as the living room. When I took my pics of the tree etc...Jacob saw the flash from the camera and instantly woke his sister's up. That my dears is MY son!! LOVES Christmas and CANNOT wait!! :O) So I went into the girls room to have them all potty and line up...Jacob already had the girls lined up in the room waiting to go. LOL that boy!

Jacob only wanted and I-pod touch this year. He even told us that was all he wanted under the tree and he would be happy with just one present. We kept telling him there was NO way that we could afford one. We NEVER would have been able to give the kids the Christmas that they got if we hadn't been so blessed! Chris and I were skating on thin ice after all of my medical "stuff" and it just got worse with his. We were praying about what we were going to do for Christmas. God truly does answer prayers!! We have the BEST friends and family and Chris' coworkers were such a HUGE help for Christmas. I could never EVER thank all who have helped us out enough! Again...we are really truly blessed!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

BTW~My baby boy knew that Chris and I wouldn't be getting Christmas for each other this year. Jacob decided that he would not eat lunch for a couple of weeks and would go without or take something for lunch so that he could save up and get both Chris and I something for Christmas! I was extremely touched! I asked him why he decided to do that. His response...You guys have been through so much and have still taken care of us so I thought you needed something too. I love that boy! He can be so kind hearted sometimes and it really makes me proud that he's mine!!

When we lived in MO, we always went to Grammy's and Poppy's house for Christmas Eve. Well with Jacob being such a traditional guy...we still open our presents from them on this same day. This year we decided to let the kids open from Nana and Papaw on Christmas Eve. too. Both sets of Grandparents decided that since they haven't see the kids in awhile (frowny face) and didn't know sizes or what they were "in" to, that they'd just sent a little $$ our way and let Chris and I do the shopping for them. So as you see there are a ton of pics, but I had to share with the Grandparents what they got for their grand kids. :O) Thanks to both Grammy and Poppy and Nana and Papaw! They really enjoyed their presents!! :O)

Jacob insisted on taking pictures of me cooking us a healthy dinner. We are trying to do a good job of it, but at times ya just need a good cheese burger. Don't worry we haven't cheated but for a couple of times. Chris is doing a great job and we've both been walking everyday. So here's to a happy HEALTHY new year for the Lamb household.

The girls had their school Christmas parties on Fri. Erika's class had a visit from the big guy while I was there and it was a flock of kids running toward him. Very cute! Madison's class made gingerbread houses. The room mother in charge does an awesome job and had some great "treat's" for the houses.

Yes I'm finally blogging. I have SO much to blog about and I don't think I'll ever get caught up so I think I'll start with the most recent things that have happened in our lives and then move backwards till I'm all done. So here are a few pics of the girls from their Christmas program at church. It was called A King Is Coming To Town. Erika was so excited as she was able to participate in the choir this year. Madison again had a big part with many lines and two solo's. We are very proud of both of the girls! It takes a LOT of practice and dedication and with all the added "stuff" going on in our house, they held up amazingly!

Now this one is the yuckiest. He is bruised from his ankle all the way up to his groin and all the way around his leg.

OK so these pics are not very wonderful to see. Honestly they look worse than they are. He's feeling really good other than occasionally feeling like he got kicked in the chest by a mule and at times his leg hurts him a little. He is still kinda bloated, but the bruising isn't really hurting him. It just looks bad. Chris has been following the Dr.'s orders for the most part. He spent a little time on the computer and the phone this morning and was enjoying using his brain again. BUT I made him get off fairly early. :O) I think when we are all said and done with things, Chris is going to be really bored. He's not one to sit still long unless he's watching a movie or sleeping...so I'm going to be hitting the red box often. Anyway thank you all again for your thoughts and prayers! We really appreciate them all. Please continue to keep him/us in your prayers as he tends to stress over finances, getting back on the job, you name it.

OK so I've been telling everyone for some time now that Jacob looks just like his Uncle Tim(Chris' brother). Well Jacob decided that today was the day to cut his beautiful locks. He's been saying that he was going to cut it for track, but I never believed that he would do it. Well his girlfriend has been wanting to see how it looks shaved so I guess that's why he decided now was the time. I had taken Madison to drama practice and when I came back, the boys were in the bathroom shaving away all the beautiful curls. I WAS SHOCKED!! I have to say...I really did have tears in my eyes! But now that it has grown on me a little, I'm starting to like it. Who knows if he'll keep it short or grow it back out, but for now...here's my Tim look alike. :O)

Happy One Year Remission Day to ME!!

Today is the day that I consider my remission day. One year ago today I was having my mastectomy and they got all that nasty cancer out. I'm so blessed to be here healthy and alive a year later. Thank you all for the support and prayers! Can't wait till next year to say that I'm STILL cancer free!!!

15 Years

While I was thinking about what to post for this special day, this saying from Aladdin kept coming up:15 Years will give you such a crick in the neck!! Sorry Chris, but it just kept slipping into my mind. I thought a little deeper and realized that I have been blessed these last 15 years. I have somebody that loves me whether I'm a pain in the rear or as sweet as punch(which most of the time I am ha ha). He's given me three beautiful, wonderful, intelligent, hilarious children. He's been a provider and kept a roof over our heads, food on the table, and clothes on our backs even through this last year of mountains of medical bills. He still makes me laugh. He's a wonderful father. I was just telling him that if something were to ever happen to him I'd miss the small things he does like change light bulbs, keep my car in working order, COOK(I hate to cook and he loves it so when he's home, I turn the kitchen over to him), back rubs, my special snacks, the list could go on. We've had our ups and downs just like everyone else and I am so proud to say that we've made it 15 years! I love you babe and can't wait to see you tomorrow when you come home!!
I have tried all day to get this posted. For some reason blogger isn't allowing me to post pictures so no pic today. :O( An update: My hubbie surprised me and came home a day early AND also had roses sent to me. He loves me! :O)

Here is a pic of the girls and our wonderful neighbor Lou. Lou and her husband Hank live right across the street from us and let me tell you they have been the most awesome neighbors! Lou has kept me well stocked on tomatoes and other goodies from her(it's actually Hank's) garden this last summer. They have been loving and very helpful in so many ways and we love them dearly for that. The picture above is at a musical, Cinderella, that Lou invited the girls and I to. It was a fun day spent with a wonderful friend. Thanks Lou and Hank for being such awesome neighbors!!

Jacob and Selika went to the homecoming dance Sat. night. They were so cute interacting together all shy like. I think they were both a little nervous. Chris, Jacob, and I met Selika and her parents at her house so we could all take pictures. It was nice to have some time talking with them. Her mom had all of her Halloween decorations out so we set the kids up in front of them. Selika went with us when we were shopping for Jacob's outfit. She said she didn't care what he wore, but when we got to the store I heard her whispering, "Get the pink tie get the pink tie". I thought it was kinda cute that he said, "Mom I kinda like the pink tie." Then they both decided that it would also be like supporting me and Breast Cancer Awareness month so we went for it. Don't they look cute!?

Homecoming/Spirit Week

Monday was Crayon day. Jacob's school color's are blue and Silver so he to wear all blue. We even dyed his old Samba's.

Tues he didn't dress up beacuse of a game. It was slob day though so he wore his addidas pants, soccer warm up jacket, etc. Wed. was saftey day.

Thurs. was another game and also Western day. He didn't have much to wear for western anyway

Fri. was 60's Day for the Freshman, 70's for the Sophomore's, 80's for the Juniors, and the Seniors got to pick. Jacob wanted me to straighten his hair again. OMGosh that kid has a tender head!!!

On one of our very hot days this summer, we decided to hit the free water park and our park. Our park is wonderful! It has so much for the kids to enjoy like a play area, a FREE water park, sand volleyball, basketball court, tennis courts, all kinds of soccer fields and an awesome track to walk. We just love it there and when it's free it makes it all even better. We called up Madison's friend, Mackenzie, and the girls had a great time soaking up the sun, cooling off in the water, playing in the sand at the volleyball courts, and running around on the play equipment.

OK so Mad has a huge head like her daddy and the face mask was squeezing her cheeks together to make chubby cheeks. She thought it was hilarious!

Her daddy liked her playing his position. She wasn't a huge fan of it though

Mad did a great job playing baseball this year. One of the awesome things about this league is that it only cost us $5 each for the girls to play. Madison had a coach that was a little on the hillbilly side like her so she thought it was wonderful. And He just loved that she was a little hillbilly like him. They got along perfectly! Further in the season, while Madison was batting, she hugged the plate a little too close and the ball whacked her in the hand not once but twice. The second one was the kicker. I'm one of those moms that just wants her to bounce back and rub a little dirt on it, but after the game I took a good look at it and WOW it was bad! Two of her fingers were really really swollen and she couldn't bend them at all. On top of it they were using a ball that was rubber and had little dimples in it. Well those dimples were on her fingers for several days. I kinda felt bad about the no sympathy thing then so we took her to DQ. :O) Ice cream fixes everything! Anyway here are the highlights from Mad's season. Sorry I guess we didn't get video of her. :O(

OK so the hat was a problem for Erika! She would get bored out on the field and the hat kept her entertained. It would fit nicely on her glove, it holds dirt rather well, it can fly, it goes on backwards, it goes on friends heads, it spins on your finger, it's amazing what you can do with a hat isn't it?!

I have done a horrible job of blogging lately so I'm going to go back in my picture catalog and catch up from this summer. To start things off...here are the girls in their VBS program. After the service, our church has a block party to celebrate. Last year it was just awesome, but this year we kind of found it a little lacking. Oh well next year right. Anyway, Erika was super excited as this year she got to go to VBS with Madison and to make it better the theme was about BUGS. It was so cute watching her from a distance while she interacted with her friends and participated in the movements of the songs. On a side note~the girls(and yes it's plural...Erika gets to participate too) started their choir practice for the Christmas program today. Tryouts are in two weeks so I'll let you know if any parts land our way. :O)

How Hard the First Week of School is on Momma's and A Trail of Madison

Isn't this just beautiful! haha Ok so now you all know what I look like when I get woken up. Madison said that I looked so cute just laying there sleeping that she just had to take a picture of me. Isn't she a doll. :O)

So I've always said that Mad leaves a trail behind her when she comes home. So this time I decided to take a picture of it and save it to show to her when she is complaining about her own kids who will leave a trail behind. I will always call it "A Trail of Madison!". Most of the time it's way more spread out than this. Wasn't she just awesome for keeping it all together. :O)

I don't know about all the rest of you, but the first week of school is so tiring to me. I'm always going to bed way later than I plan because of one more paper to sign, or running to pick up one more kid, or whatever! And then add the getting up at 6 for a person that LOVES to sleep in till 8:30 or 9. It's so not fun! I do love that the kids LOVE school(all three) and that they are getting back in the swing of things, but I hope my body catches up soon. :O)

Erika's first day went really well! I woke her up with our little "school day's" song and she finished singing it with me. She got up and got dressed really well and even ate all of her breakfast. Everything went really well. I walked her and Madison down to the bus stop and helped her get on, introduced her to the bus driver, and of course took her picture "on" the bus. And then they drove off. I didn't even cry! My neighbor across the street came out to see Erika before she got on the bus(she's kind of a surrogate grandma) and she had a box of Kleenex's just in case I needed them. Wasn't that just the sweetest thing ever. Love her! When Erika came home she was a very happy girl and said she had a wonderful time, but that she was sorry because she lost a paper with information on it for me. I don't think she knew to put it IN her backpack and just stuffed it down in the side pocket. Oh well...I wrote her teacher a note so if it's important then she'll send me another one. All in all it's was a great morning for the Kindergartner! Now we are going to lunch to celebrate! :O)

Chili Toast and Good Snot

So Madison had her friend Kenzie spend the night last night. They made a bed and breakfast/spa kind of thing. I'll post on that a little later. So anyway this morning they decided that they were going to make us all breakfast in bed. Madison came in and asked me what I'd like. I said that I'd like two slices of toast with butter and jelly. Guess what I got?! Two slices of toast with butter and CHILI. What in the world? It was kind of dark in there as I was supposed to still be in bed. So they brought me my plate and the "jelly" was lumpy. I was a little surprised that they didn't spread it out better. Then looking at it a little closer I saw that there were beans on my toast. I stopped, looked at it, looked up at the two smiling faces and said...WHAT THE HECK IS THIS??? Madison says well mom you said you wanted two slices of toast with butter and chili. I said no Mad I wanted JELLY. Kenzie pipes up saying...I wondered why you would want chili! I guess I have to give in a little. The fan was on and she said she did repeat back, chili? But I heard Jelly. Oh well...no harm done. They went and remade my toast and this time put Jelly on it instead. Silly girls! Sorry no picture of the chili toast. Mad threw it away before I was able to get the camera out.
On another note. Chris and I were in our room playing on the computer's and Erika walks in and says...hey mom! Snot's good! I said WHAT? She says, I learned on the library movie that snot is good for you! UGH! Now I'll have to teach her all over again that NO you should not eat your boogers because they ARE dirt. Thanks library movie for messing THAT all up!

I Know I'm Mean, But I Had To!

Like the title says...I know I'm mean for doing this, but I just had to prove Madison wrong. Mad is always arguing with both Erika and Jacob about the whole snoring thing. She says she NEVER snores and we've all told her differently. Well one night I went in to put some clothes away in the girls drawers and low and behold what do I hear? Yep little miss princess NOT snoring. :O) It's all good though cause I showed her the video and she thinks it's funny. I asked her so Mad do you snore. And she said with a laugh well I guess I do huh?!

Every year the story telling guild here in Jackson County puts on an AWESOME children's festival. We took the kids and after driving around for a parking place for an hour or more we finally entered the park where it was held. It was really a great event costing us only a couple of bucks each. The girls brought home all kinds of "projects" and there was so much there to do that we weren't even able to do it all. Can't wait till next year to see what fun things they have in store. I think this was the first time she wore this suit. She LOVES it can you tell?!

If you didn't know it, Erika is a HUGE SpongeBob fan! She had a bug/SpongeBob birthday, she watches her SpongeBob movies almost daily, she even wants to marry SpongeBob. So when I heard that the big guy was coming to our mall, I just had to take her. Plus it was FREE!! Who can beat free?! We sat in line for just a little bit(thanks to my friend Lea who also has a huge SpongeBob fan in her house). So you'd think that as soon as she say him, she'd be running up to him with tons of hugs. Dairy Queen Boob

I know this picture is kinda yuck and we are going back some day's, but I had to share what Erika told me. I was just getting out of the bath and she stops me and says, "Mom...your boob looks like Dairy Queen!" After picking myself up off the floor I glanced in the mirror and realized she's right. I know from the above picture it may not look like it, but it does now with the nipple. I don't feel like I should post a picture of the nipple on the blog as it's getting more and more like a real breast, but picture this....The football shape like the above picture, with a fairly large(shrinking though)nipple in the middle, and then on either side of the nipple are two lines. So if you think about it, the football shape is the outline of the lips. The two lines are the crease of the lips, and the nipple you ask?! Well Erika says that's the tongue. What a nut! At least we can find humor in something that wasn't funny in the beginning right?! I love that girl!

It was a long day!

Yesterday we went to Redding to enjoy a fun day of water slides and swimming. Thanks to some awesome friends everyone had a friend to play with! I'm going to try and post a couple of video's and yes that is me screaming my head off! :O) EVERYONE was trying to get me to do that stupid Avalanche ride. I'm a big weenie and really didn't want to, but finally talked myself into it. It was SO scary, but fun. I only did it once though and I'd only do it if Madison would go with me(she didn't want to try either, but she did). So we held hands and walked up to the top with our shaking legs and conquered it together! We had a GREAT time and some really tired kids at the end of the day.

The girls decided to go back and play in the sand AFTER we had washed up and were ready to go. So Chris made them march back down to the water and he dumped water on them to wash them off. The water is freezing! I don't know about you, but it looks like he is having WAY too much fun. :O)

I am way behind in my posts! I was looking back at my pictures and found some that I wanted to post from months ago. I guess that's what happens in the lazy days of summer right?!

Alright I'll start with these awesome pictures Chris took. Remember way back when we went to that Wildlife Images place with our friends? Well that same day we went over to a park and had a picnic lunch, played disc golf, and let the kiddo's play on the playground. Chris wasn't feeling 100% and didn't want to play another round of disc golf, so he got behind the camera instead. Love these shots!

As most of you know, we had a garage sale a couple of weekends ago. We did really well. Got rid of a bunch of stuff we've been holding on to for years and made space so that the next time we move we will hopefully be down to just the one U-haul. As always the kiddo's had lots to sell and with the money the girls got, they both bought bikes. Madison was glad that she remembered how to ride, but Erika was/is a little nervous still and goes really really slow. She'll get there, I just have to remind her that it's fun to ride. :O) Also the $$ Chris and I got, we bought miss Madison a new bed. Hers was getting hard on her back and uncomfortable and she was just growing out of it. She loves the new one and her new bedding. Had to have polka dots!

Our friends had never gone to Crater Lake and asked us if we wanted to go along. So Chris, the girls, and I went with them. Sorry mom, but as you can see it's way better to go in June. :O) We found a couple of spots that we didn't know were there. There is an awesome lookout point and you can see the water edge really well. We also stopped by the Rogue Gorge on the way home. I could stop there everyday and never get tired of it. It's so beautiful and the sound coming from it is just so powerful! LOVE IT!

We had a different 4th of July this year. We came home from camping and were all so tired and hot that we hung out watching movies and taking naps. How's that for a wild time?! :O) The kids did light a few fireworks and then that evening we watched Harry and David shoot off their firework show.

This picture made me smile so much because she is looking up in the stands, while running the 400, smiling at her bubby. She was so proud for him to watch her do this run!

The second night of track, Madison wasn't able to come since she had soccer practice and they were getting ready for a tournament. Pics of that to come soon. Erika was excited about this night because Jacob and Selika(Jacob's girlfriend) came to watch her. Erika also did the 400 and was so happy that her bubby was watching as that's the race he runs. Sorry no video this time. :O)

Poor Dog/Side Notes

We gave Chubs a haircut today so it reminded me that I needed to post these pictures.

The girls love to torture, I mean "play" with Chubs. They decided one day that he was going to be their baby and so they needed to dress him up and push him around in the stroller. It actually lasted a little longer than I thought. Chubs was a good sport and he looked so stinking cute in his outfit didn't he. :O)

A couple of side notes: Thanks again Grammy and Poppy for the clothes for the kiddos! They all fit can you believe it!!! And they all love them! We really appreciate it!

#2. I'm having my nipple reconstruction procedure on the 21st of July. It isn't supposed to hurt and it's done right in the Dr.'s office. I'm excited to see what it will look like! I'll let you all know how it turns out. This one and then one more and I'LL BE DONE!!! WOO HOO!

A beast of a throw!

This was Madison almost to the finish line from running the 400. It was a long run for her!

My girls have been participating in an awesome event that the parks dept. sponsors. They call it All Comers Track Meet and it starts from ages 2/3 all the way up to 12. They had the running long jump, softball throw, high jump(on the last night and only for the big kids), 50, 150, and the 400meter dash. The girls had a ball and they got ribbons for every event!! We have tons and tons of pics and video from all three nights so I thought I'd split it up. Here are some shots from the first night. One of the things about Erika that made me laugh was that she knew to get down like at a real track meet. When the guy said set...she popped her rear up just like Jacob does at his meets. The guy saw her, got a kick out of it and laughed so hard that he had to start all over again. You can see her do it a little in her running video. Watch carefully.

We took the kids to a free fishing day, but as I started to take pictures my camera died. I was only able to catch these two shots of the girls. Erika was super excited as that's what she was talking about doing for her birthday. She has since changed her mind cause we didn't catch a single fish. Now we will be hunting for bugs on Erika's birthday. :O)
