Dork
But he's a healthy dork! :O)

I know I posted these on Facebook, but again not everyone that reads my blog is on fb and not everyone on fb reads my blog...make sense? It doesn't to me either but let's just go with it. :O)

Home Depot Craft Time

Madison did her project all on her own.
Erika loved to hammer!

Giving the big guy hugs

Almost too big for his lap :O(

All smiles!

I want a...and a...and a...

My two beauties
My friend Lea called me up and invited us to go to the Home Depot building project that they do the first Sat. of every month. The girls really enjoyed building their wagon's and were excited to be able to sit on Santa's lap. They even got to have some popcorn. :O)

The Girls Christmas Program

Before the program. The choir shirts didn't come in until Sat. night so Erika didn't have hers till Sun. Thankfully they came in in time for the show!!

Yes I'm finally blogging. I have SO much to blog about and I don't think I'll ever get caught up so I think I'll start with the most recent things that have happened in our lives and then move backwards till I'm all done. So here are a few pics of the girls from their Christmas program at church. It was called A King Is Coming To Town. Erika was so excited as she was able to participate in the choir this year. Madison again had a big part with many lines and two solo's. We are very proud of both of the girls! It takes a LOT of practice and dedication and with all the added "stuff" going on in our house, they held up amazingly!

A Few Pics of Chris

The chest incision and the holes from the chest tubes
bruise on his arm that we have no idea what it's from and the IV holes

Now this one is the yuckiest. He is bruised from his ankle all the way up to his groin and all the way around his leg.

OK so these pics are not very wonderful to see. Honestly they look worse than they are. He's feeling really good other than occasionally feeling like he got kicked in the chest by a mule and at times his leg hurts him a little. He is still kinda bloated, but the bruising isn't really hurting him. It just looks bad. Chris has been following the Dr.'s orders for the most part. He spent a little time on the computer and the phone this morning and was enjoying using his brain again. BUT I made him get off fairly early. :O) I think when we are all said and done with things, Chris is going to be really bored. He's not one to sit still long unless he's watching a movie or sleeping...so I'm going to be hitting the red box often. Anyway thank you all again for your thoughts and prayers! We really appreciate them all. Please continue to keep him/us in your prayers as he tends to stress over finances, getting back on the job, you name it.

Uncle Tim Look Alike

Tim with baby Erika
Jacob with 5 y/o Erika

OK so I've been telling everyone for some time now that Jacob looks just like his Uncle Tim(Chris' brother). Well Jacob decided that today was the day to cut his beautiful locks. He's been saying that he was going to cut it for track, but I never believed that he would do it. Well his girlfriend has been wanting to see how it looks shaved so I guess that's why he decided now was the time. I had taken Madison to drama practice and when I came back, the boys were in the bathroom shaving away all the beautiful curls. I WAS SHOCKED!! I have to say...I really did have tears in my eyes! But now that it has grown on me a little, I'm starting to like it. Who knows if he'll keep it short or grow it back out, but for now...here's my Tim look alike. :O)

Erika's First Fieldtrip

Bus ride too the pumpkin patch
The were able to enjoy a hayride first thing

Good friends

Erika and Makinna in the corn maze

Picking out just the right pumpkin

sliding down the HUGE hill of hay

The whole A.M. class with teacher Mrs. Douglas

enjoying some apple cider

she loves a good picture pose(nut!)

Do you think she could have found anything bigger to carry??? The rule was that they had to be able to carry it and hold it on the bus without dropping. Erika got very close to that rule. :O)

Trying to lug it onto the bus. She did make it!

She named it Makinna on the bus ride home

I went with Erika's Kindergarten class to the pumpkin patch in early Oct. and I'm just now getting this posted. I don't know why, but blogging is just not top priority right now. I'm hoping to do better though...we'll see.

Happy One Year Remission Day to ME!!

Then
Now

Today is the day that I consider my remission day. One year ago today I was having my mastectomy and they got all that nasty cancer out. I'm so blessed to be here healthy and alive a year later. Thank you all for the support and prayers! Can't wait till next year to say that I'm STILL cancer free!!!
